Kim was born and raised in Red Deer where she studied dance at Dancentral Studio under the direction of Miss Judy Dorland. After graduating high school in 2001, Kim moved to Edmonton where she earned a Linguistics degree from the University of Alberta in 2005 and a Speech Language Pathologist's Assistant diploma from Grant MacEwan University in 2009.
Kim spent several years with the Edmonton Public School Board, working with children with exceptional needs before moving back to Red Deer with her husband, Jeremy. In October 2012, Kim gave birth to her son, Samuel and spent the following two years at home being a full time stay at home mom. This past summer, Kim began her A.D.A.P.T Teacher Training in Toronto. Kim is thrilled to be back in Red Deer and she looks forward to providing a positive dance experience for the students at Strive.
