Hiring - Office Administrator

The Strive Board of Directors is currently recruiting for an Office Administrator. We are looking for an individual who is highly organized, a skilled communicator, well versed in using office administrative computer systems and tools and enjoys providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment to join our Strive team.

As a part-time employee of Strive, the successful candidate will report directly to the Board of Directors along with the Artistic Director. The Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to our Board and Teachers, acting as a liaison to our Members (Dancers and Families,) assisting in Member account support through our Jackrabbit registration system and providing communication support across our Strive Membership and the public.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Office administrative duties, such as handling inquiries via telephone, emails or in person, monitoring incoming mail and courier deliveries, maintaining calendars and schedules

  • Publishing and communications through various methods such as newsletters, emails, notices

  • Monitoring and managing registration and payment related activities for an event, program or service

  • Customer Service

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in office administration or equivalent

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools

  • Prior experience working with a non-profit Board is an asset

  • Prior experience in dance in some capacity is an asset

  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond when necessary

  • Exceptional communication skills, must like working with the public

  • Strong organizational skills, including balancing multiple responsibilities and effectively meeting deadlines


  • Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

  • Being adaptable and able to work in a changing environment

  • Available for evening and periodically weekend work
